Looks like bad luck - both sites (http://www.unionreality.com and http://www.uol.it/unionreality/ ) seem to be dead and gone.
I've read something in a message at google about some 3.x driver version, but that seemed to be related to a modified set that also can send keystrokes via a keyboard dongle.

If the 2.0 driver is enough for you, I can send you (a few 100kB).

Union Reality headset works with XP. Yesterday i tried it with Live For Speed driving game where you can map axes to control the drivers head. It was very jerky but it works. :)
I haven't used any special drivers, just added a new controller in Game Controllers menu.
Dunno about the digital mode...

(i not speak english-this is a wordbook project :) )

-I select any "2 axis joy" from gamecontrollers list and this f.cking italian shit is working
but not like mouse so rather like a simple joy.:(
(normal ABSOLUTE mode...around and around..and around...)

-the driver and the config-util not work in-resident in XP :(

-but the mouse-mode in games yet never working me, neither under win98.
-Some flight simulator ect in TAW,MIG ALLEY,FSIM-s therefore functional like RELATIVE! head-moving.:) /with multimedia glasses/

-But ALL!! FPS games ect: HL series(with very editable joystick config command, like "RELATIVE MODE") not work! like MOUSE,only the original system-mouse work!!,this pinifarina shit not! (underwin98)

-I pull out the real mouse, but NOT.

WHY????????????????????????????????

/Little help for driverguide login:
user: TEMP
code: 512

theirs driver not show up the gamecontrollers list....???...therefore not work..:(((

NO DRIVER,NO HOMEPAGE,NO COMPANY,THIS IS 1 fuc#@#@đ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!4

The Union Reality headgear sucks! If I wanted head tracking for games, I'd just attach a Gyration mouse to a standard headset and use that instead!
Nobody uses roll anyway...

IMO head tracking is useless without a real stereoscopic HMD. What I'd like to have a gyromouse for is to make a pinch dataglove out of it!

WINXP SOLUTION
for Union Reality Gear:

Configure a new joystick "2 axis, 0 buttons", name it "UR Gear" or similar to your liking.

Use this software:
Joy2Mouse3
http://www.freewareweb.com/cgi-bin/archive.cgi?ID=1625

Patch the movements of the joystick to mouse movements.

VOILA!

Greetings!

Hello,

it's somehow simple to add the UR Gear to XP. You need to add a Gamecontroller by yourself.

Open the Gamecontroller konfiguration, klick "Add", then "User defined". There you choose "Joystick", 3 Axis (Z-Axis), 4 Buttons. Give it a Name, like "UR Gear" and press OK.

Then, choose the newly created Gamecontroller and press OK.

If everything is OK, you will see the Gamecontroller with "OK" behind him.

regards, Frank
