I'm at a total loss. The exact thing I need is the very thing I can't find ANYWHERE. I need a camcorder add-on/lens/mount that will allow me to record two 16:9 images side-by-side on a single frame (yes, I realize I'm cutting the resolution in half when I do this).

I would also be happy with finding a reliable Mac application that could allow me to convert field sequential 3D footage from the NuView into parallel format or every other frame into separate movie files.

Which leads me to the next point. Will the NuView work with my Canon HF10 camera in 60i mode (or any other mode for that matter)?

Any and all help is much appreciated.

Hi:

You might try something I have always wanted to but haven't gotten around to yet: Buy two flip video recorders (inexpensive, small/lightweight, and some are now in HD!), strap them side-by-side somehow, and record video with both...use stereo movie maker to bring them together, or if you're using a mac only, perhaps bring both streams into final cut, and manually put them side-by-side there (making necessary alignments) before rendering.

I want both images in the same frame so I don't have to use two separate cameras, which is what I'm currently doing. It's a pain, especially for what I'm doing.

Basically, I've figured everything out now, except for one thing. I still need to know whether or not the StereoCam will work with my HF10 in 60i mode. If it will, then I can import the video into Final Cut, copy the video into two tracks on the timeline, apply the de-interlace (even) filter to one and the de-interlace (odd) filter to the other, then resize the videos so they're side-by-side.

Most use certain models of Sony Cameras that gave a LANC connector and plug in a LANC Controller to sync, zoom etc. together in step the camera pair.
