I am planning to use 2 HV20's or HDC-SD9 camcorders in a 2 camera stereo setup. I will record the signal off the HDMI output using a custom built HDMI capture station.
The HDMI specs mention that the sync is also passed with the signal. Is there a device that checks the HDMI or RCA signal for that matter and checks for sync drift ?
I can use a slate clapper for frame sync but I need to know what the sync drift will be..Thanks!

Hi
Just noticed your post, I am also thinking about 2 HD cameras for stereoscopic 3D using HDC-SD9, This is for a 3D project that I may be working on, I would be very greatfull if you would email me on any ideas how I can synch both cameras as it appears there's no modern HD cameras with a lanc, I am also looking for an on set 3D monitoring solution. so I can keep an eye on the 3D for each shot. phil@media55.co.uk
