Hi,

I would be interested in any feedback from users of either the AV230 or the AV920 from Vuzix.

I just got a AV230 and I cannot get it to display 3D content. I have tried to play the commercial DVD titles like Adventures in 3D on multiple DVD players and 2 different generations of the PS2 to no avail. No matter what, I end up with both displays displaying both images. I don't know if I have a bad unit or if this is it's nature... what little info I've been able to dig up appears inconclusive.

I have heard of a patch that you can upload if you have Adobe Premier (which I don't) using the USB port - can anyone comment on that? Has anyone done that? Does anyone have tha patch? Has anyone accomplished an update of the firmware without Adobe Premier?

I'm hoping that I can watch flicker free 3D content and possibly get one of these to work with the Splitfish EyeFx 3D adapter! It is supposed to extract some games into 3D and uses shutterglasses to show the 3D ... since the I-Wear are supposed to support this format, I'm thinking it will work in conjunction with at least one of these products.

I know the AV920 is a better unit, but I'm actually happy with the AV230s lower resolution as it has great clarity & color - not to mention 1/2 the cost - but I must have 3D!

I'm wondering If I should send these in for another model or upgrade to the AV920.

Any feedback is GREATLY appreciated...
