My girl ordered me a pair of the new LCD comptaible wirelesses from E-Dimensional (god i love her), because I've been taking an interest in this 3d stuff lately.

I still haven't tried any of them, but the reviews around here spoke pretty well of this brand, what i'm wondering:

I don't yet have an LCD monitor, my current monitor is a CRT, I was planning to get an LCD before I got turned onto this 3d stuff

1. Why didn't shutterglasses work with non CRTs?

2. How is it that E dimensional now can?

3. Would the LCD (with LCD compatible glasses) look just as good? or would I be better off keeping my CRT monitor, for to help my 3D experience?

P.S I'm interested in it for PC gaming.

IMHO, you should keep a CRT if you want to use shutterglasses. The main concern with shutterglasses is the refresh rate of the screen: you want it as high as possible, and CRTs can reach higher refresh rates than LCDs.
