Hi guys,

I have a few questions around using LCD technology and shutter glasses. I know there are many difficulties in getting it to work.

Has anybody made it work (over the full screen) to an acceptable level? i.e. non-headache inducing :-)

I was thinking: I'm assuming Hz and fps can be considered the same thing here. As I remember the human eye can't distingish anything over ~22-25fps. So why do we need ~40Hz to produce an acceptable image.

If we can use something lower is there a possibility of the following. Since LCD technology takes almost a frame to stabalise the image...we half the number of transitions the glasses do. That way each eye sees 2 frames before flipping. So if we have a descent LCD @ 85Hz /2 (eyes) = 42.5 /2(2 frames per eye) = 21.25fps.
This should be around what standard cinema film shows?

Has anybody experimented in this area? I've probably got the complete wrong end of the stick! :-)

Cheers
