hello, I would like to see my Field Sequential 3D DVD`s with my edimensional glasses on my DLP (Infocus X1) Projector . I have also the demo of the Stereoscopic Player from Peter Wimmer, but I cant see in 3D ? My games works great with the projector... ...who can help me? Thomas SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH | ||

You don't say whether you are playing the DVD from a stand-alone DVD player or a PC. If you're playing it via a standard DVD player, it probably won't work. Most DLP projectors deinterlace the video signal in a way that is unfriendly to field-sequential 3D video signals. It is possible that the following method may work for you. Some Panasonic Progressive DVD players will deinterlace the field-sequential 3D Video signal in the player in a 3D-friendly way (e.g. the Panasonic DVDS1: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000EOH1MM/3dmovies-20 ). Connect the DVDS1 to your projector using the component (Y,Pr,Pb) video cables, and the 3D dongle to the composite output. This does however require that the projector be 3D compatible via the component input with a progressive signal (most are). There's a list here: www.3d.curtin.edu.au/3dmovies/projectors.html Unfortunately I don't know the answer for the X1 but the chances are good. If you're trying to use a PC, Stereoscopic Player isn't written to play copy-protected DVDs. That may be your problem. | ||

Thank you, but the eDimensional Dongle haves only a VGA in/out. And I want to play the DVD`s with a PC. My second problem is.. ..when I start a game the glasses start automatically, but I dont know how can I start the glasses with DVD`s! I need help please. Thomas | ||

Hmmm, for me I think the glasses start automatically. Someone did make reference to a program (from eDimensional?) which allows the VGA dongle/glasses to be manually started. Perhaps you can search for the details. Which dongle do you have? Regarding, playback of a Field-sequential 3D DVD from a stand-alone DVD player, yes a separate PAL/NTSC dongle is necessary.
