Is there any reason why one couldn't substitute a stack of holographic notch filters for one of the expensive Infitec filters?

I can not imagine how can some "holographic notch filters" provide the super-precise wavelenght specific filtration as INFITEC specialized filters.
Some hint ?

Holographic notch filters actually provide superior wavelength filtration, very narrow. What I don't know is if a stack will attenuate the signal too much.
