Hi,

After asking and looking for this projector, I have arranged a test in a great store, here in my town (Barcelona, Spain). I'll do the test at Tuesday.

They allow me to use a portable of them with a GeForce4 440Go, with the Infocus X3 (if the portable would not be suitable to perform the test, I'll try with my own Pc tower...)

I post this here because you, maybe could have some ideas or requests to check in this test.

I have already in:

-Several 3D images (from turistic photos to in-game 3dstereo screenshots), to be seen through the nvidia viewer.

-The ghosting pattern of several main colors (http://www.stereo3d.com/img/ghosting_color_bars.jps)

-Four camcorder 3dstereo videos, to play with Peter Wimmer stereoplayer

-78.01 set of drivers (45.23 56.72 61.66 71.89 sets of drivers will be there also, just in case)

-Rivatuner, Powerstrip and DriverCleaner, just in case.

-'No limits rollercoaster' demo. I have check that in my rig (5900XT 78.01) it works fine.

-I'll try to test IL2FB+AEP+PF, and Call of Duty

Do you have some correction/suggestion/request?

Tx!

Oh sorry!

I'd finished so angry with the shop that I had forgoten to post here...

I had repeated to the guy that I needed the X3 to test, well after discusing several times, the shop's guy calls me and say all is ok to do the test with the X3,but when I arrive he has only the infocus 4805, and a portable with a Gf4 Go card. So stereo did not work in the portable (tested anaglyph) and did not work neither in the PJ nor anaglyph nor pageflipped...

I did insist him to do the test with X3. We agree that the test could be done in wholesaler home...after some weeks the guy calls me and say it is not possible because the wholesaler works only with the infopus PJs that the shop work with...

well, here in my city there is only another shop that works with X3, but it do not accept tests, nor returns, so I'm stuck with the X3.

On the other hand, I have tested (in a more kind shop) the Mitsubishi XD450D. According to specs it could take XGA up to 120 Hz as inputs. Well, it did not work in stereo at all in any frec greater than 60 Hz, BUT even in 60 Hz it had problems: it de-synchronized with the signal, more or less at each second, the left and right views swaped. When you looked with a single eye, you could see how the image was fading until it swaped with the other...And in addition it suffered of abnormal flickering when stereo activated (IMO)

Some people said that Acer pjs could do stereo fine in 60, 75 and at least 85 Hz. I have a possibility of rent a 115 for a weekend (90 €) but it is a bit expensive for only a test...I'm going to think on it...

Sorry, no good news until now.

P.D. The image quality of the Mitsubishi was astonishing (except for the 2x wheel, which for me, makes not possible to see movies, specially B&W ones, my preferred ones...) It's a pitty it could not work in stereo...

I'm afraid of the general image quality, detail, colours of the Infocus, (and even more with the Acer)

Will see...
