Any sugestions for a IR transmitter for use with wireless shutter glasses?
I am using the VFX box now but it has its limitations. I have a 120" diagonal projection system and without spending a fortune, I need a range of at least 25 to 35' and a wide reception angle. It would be desirable to have a transmitter that can run off of s-video or beter yet a component signal. Also if it has a polarity switch for L-R swapping that would be helpful.
Thanks

Hi range transmiters are sold now only by Stereographics. Price is in the $400-$650 range.

Thanks, but that is a bit out of my price range, I do free shows with no budget. I was hoping $100 to be reasonable for an array of high power IR LED's with a driver.
I was considering splicing some additional LED's and a driver off of the VFX box to extend the range, but I thought I would investigate what is pre-made in a cheap alternative.

will the stereographics hi=powered one work with the x3d / e-dimensional glasses?

I know there is an obvious answer to this (meaning ofcourse as the transmitters will both be working at either ntsc/pal frequencies or 100-120hz) but what i wanted to was, do the stereographics transmitters work on the same IR wavelength etc as these cheaper glasses? and are there any other issues to be aware of?

Thanks
Clyde

Clyde: No. The Stereographic hi-power one works only with Stereographics and NuVision 60 GX models ...
The IR wavelenght is the same as with e-Dimensional glasses, but the IR ligth modulation is diferent ...

I have the Eye3D wireless set up with a 120" screen. I have a mount for my emitter so I can attach it to my chair mounted desktop or put it on a stand when I sit 16' from the screen. I added a 6' mini-din extension cable that I purchased from L-connectivity.com to get some more length out of the unit. works great.

Hello 3D projection fans, I've got a high powered
IR transmitter in the works. It has a frame delay
and Left/Right reverse controls.
