Hi 3d friends,

After many evenings of trying to get it to work i now try my luck here.
The problem is no sound with SMM (version 0.96) in any 3d display mode.

I use Nvidia stereo driver 71.84 (i have to since it is the last
available version that drives my simuleyes blueline code glasses). These work allright.
Of course the matching Nvidia forceware version is installed too.
All needed mpeg4 codex packs are installed and work OK with any mono file.

Now i try to play a stereo (interlaced) mpeg4 movie file that works fine in mono
on any standard player (mediaplayer classic, VLC player etc) and gives perfect sound.
That same file did work too on my old system using winx3d for W98 and VLC player.
never trouble with sound. Another mpeg4 stereofile in anaglyph: same story.

Also it will play like that in SMM directshow option (in mono of course but with
sound). ANY 3d option (play movie, play movie file, using all three start tabs
file/play/3Dpageflip) does not give sound, regardless of display mode (even non-
shuttered modes like anaglyph or sidebyside).
YES the checkboxes regarding sound on are correctly switched on (no effect).
Also sound is enabled in the nvidia driver settings. It just wont work.

I tried other hardware (2 different soundcards as well as the onboard one),
2 completely other PCs, even the old w98+winx3d98 system. No effect therefore
it must be a SMM problem.

Anyone here got experience with this problem? I would be very obliged if i could
find the solution here.
I just wanted a faster PC for my stereo because the old one could not keep up
with the frame rate of stereo movies.

Greetings from Holland!

Andre.
