Hi,
in the former driver there was an additional menue item called refresh rate override or similiar, where for each resolution and color depth a specific refresh rate could be set.

This item seems to be missing in the 71.84 flavour of the driver.

The result is, that my stereo refresh rate in 800x600 resolution is as low as my desktop refresh rate with 1152x864 namely 85 Hz instead of the more preferable 100Hz for my i-glasses VGA 3D.

Any ideas how to overcome this problem?

Greetings
Markus

I had the same problem, for example on Ford Racing 3 in software T&L mode. Only workaround I found so far is to set the desktop refresh rate to the desired value.

Does the Ref Rate override in the stereo driver work for you? This is accessed by the "Setup and Test" screen on the stereo property page. You check the box called "Always use stereo refresh rate...", then when you save ref rate values for modes on that test page, they are used in the game when stereo is turned on.

I had the same problem with my gainward glasses and I couldn't get refreshrates over 85 Hz. Luckily I found solution to the problem. Only thing I had to do was to change monitor's plug'n'play -drivers to monitor's own drivers. And after that I could use refreshrates up to 160 Hz! No tweaks, no reghacks.. Problem was just wrong drivers for monitor that didn't allow refreshrates over 85 Hz in any resolution. Simple! ;)
