I'm pleased to announce that after two+ years of development, 3DCombine 5 has been released. This is a ground-up rewrite providing a modern GUI, large speed improvements and DirectShow support.
Those interested in 2D->3D video conversion should find it much improved, retaining the genuine depthmap-based conversion but removing the blocking artifacts that could occur in previous releases.
Give it a try today - free 15 day trial period available at http://www.3dcombine.com

Hi there,
I downloaded your program and was pretty happy with it.
But Nvidia Stereo viewing option never worked for me...
My glasses were definitely shuttering but the image was not showing both left and right images sequentially (using parallel)
I tried it with ED program and set my shutter to interlace and worked fine though,
But it actually said it was using OpenGL in top left hand corner of window, is this true?

I am using the very old 91.31 Nvidia forceware/stereo drivers though, maybe the problem lies there.
But im not having any problems with the default Stereo Viewer by Nvidia or with Stereo Photo maker.

Cheers

Hi,

nVidia Stereo support should work fine with the 91.31 drivers. The latest 3D drivers from nVidia are Vista only and don't support shutter glasses.
I assume you selected Display>nVidia Stereo? What did you see if not alternate left and right images?
You may see OpenGL when using many of the display modes (including the eDimensional mode) as OpenGL is used as the renderer. However, the nVidia stereo uses DirectX and so you shouldn't see a reference to OpenGL in that mode.

Thanks,

Richard

yea i did everything correct,
had Stereo enabled in nvidia driver panel,
selected nvidia stereo in your display option,
goes to full screen with glasses refreshing properly but its only showing a static image (either left or right) so no love there.

did you get it working with the Nvidia drivers and and if wat driver combo?

Im also using a 6800 Ultra vid card, shutter glasses with dongle, and version 91.31 drivers on a CRT screen that refreshes up to 150hz.

Cheers
