I recently purchased Hondo on DVD. I already had it on VHS but wanted better quality. Bombshell! The DVD is Left print and VHS is Right print! I've captured the VHS to digital and am currently converting from NTSC @ 29.97fps to NTSC @ 23.976fps to match the DVD. There is going to be a lot of work to do, but this is very exciting, should be able to get a 3D print much better quality than VHD rips! I have several field sequential 3D projects on the go at the moment, Freddy's Dead and Amityville 3D, both of which are 3/4 done, and also The Mask but, I'm afraid, Hondo is probably going to take precedence now!

Oh well, at least I have the opening credits in stunning 3D, which is more than I had before.

A couple of years ago Freddy's Dead was re-released in The Netherlands on DVD which was "Digitally Remastered" and I've heard that they used the top (left) print for the 3D section as opposed to the right print which has been used for every other copy of FD that I have seen. Can anyone confirm/deny this before I waste loads of time trying to track down a copy? My b/w left and high-colour right conversion looks very good, but full colour, of course, would be significantly better.
