Hello. This is my 1st post. I have recently purchased an eDiemnsional 3d glasses, but my nvidia 6800 GT videocard doesn´t support very good the nvidia 61.77 driver. I need a new 3d stereo driver. Anybody know the release data of the new nvidia drivers for 3d stereo?. I can´t see any information about this. Thanks. | ||

Hello and welcome Mopheta. Nice card. the higher end Geforce cards are best supported by the latest matched set of video and stereo drivers. You can't mix different levels of drivers. For example: if your using the 61.47 stereo drivers then you have to use the 61.47 video drivers. That being said I would suggest the 61.77 drivers. First download the 61.77 video and stereo drivers. Also download the program "Driver Cleaner". You can find it at guru3D.com. Next turn off "System Restore". Change your drivers to the Windows standard generic VGA drivers. uninstall all of your Nvidia drivers using the add/remove program. Do a reboot. Install and run driver cleaner to clean out all traces of any Nvidia drivers. Run the Nvidia driver installer. It sill first unpack all the drivers to a file. make sure you write down where the installer unpacks them too. You will then get a prompt to continue wth the install. Choose "No". Then go to the folder in which the installer unpacked the drivers and run the setup program. Reboot. then run the stereo driver installer. Reboot. Turn "System Restore" back on. run the Nvidia stereo medical test. things to remember: Set your resolution to 1024x768. If your monitor supports a refresh rate of 120Hz at that resolution then set it to 120Hz. If it doesn't then set it to 100Hz. If this leaves you a little confused feel free to ask for clarification. Too much thanks. I have followed your instructions. I can see 3D stereo working with opengl and directx if I use 61.77/61.77 combo driver. But 61.77 driver don´t support very well my 6800 videocard. Yes, using this combo drivers I can see too many games in 3D stereo, but framerates goes down in some games, and other games show corrupted textures. Some people said in other forums that it is because 61.77 is not optimized for 6800 nvidia cards. I can see this is true, because opengl games like IL-2 sturmovik or Quake 2 can be viewed perfectly using 66.93/61.77, and using 61.77/61.77 3D stereo work, but textures are corrupted... and games like ghost recon works with a framerate very poor (too much better with 66.93). There are other things that doesn´t work very good with 61.77. These are the reasons because we are expecting a new nvidia 3D stereo driver, that we hope with full support for 6800 and 6600 videocards. Now I have installed 66.93/61.77, and the PC run perfect, but without 3D in directx games. Any idea about the release data of the new Nvidia 3D Stereo Drivers?. |
