Hallo!
Just a question...
I am very new and I am really interesting of getting a 3D funktion for my PC.
I want that my PC can play DVDs in 3D or the 3D DVDs themselves to be seen in my PC as 3D and the games too, what should I get to let this happen please ?
I have a PC with normal Monitor, and my Graficcard is ATI Radeon 9600 Pro.
Please I need your answers and help since I am really new to all this things.
Thanks in Advance!

Get 3d glasses such as e-dimensionl. There will be a driver with the glasses that will make a few of your games work in 3D. For IMAX DVD's you can use any DVD software and the ED activator to get 3d or stereoscopic player,a free download. You will get mixed results from this. If you want all of your games to work you will need an nvidia card. ATI has verry poor performance in 3d. I use to be an ATI fan untill I got my glasses, I will never own another ATI card unless they get good 3d support. Far Cry with the nvidia stereo driver on my 6800 is like being in the holo deck on star trek.

Thanks alot ohgrant for your answer.
I have now few more questions I hope you can answer me .

1- Musst I buy Ed Glasses or can I buy any 3D Shutter glasses from any other company ?

2- To watch IMAX 3D DVDs you said only get a DVD software player, this software I already own (WinDVD) but is ED activator a software programm or something to buy ? And what is stereoscopic is it a software programm too or something else ?

3- Is the 3D glasses everything I need to buy to get the games as 3D or do I have to buy something else like a Dongle and connector or what ever ???

4- If I use a LCD or TFT Monitor on PC, will all this 3D work well or not ?

5- Last question, What do you mean that I will get mixed results from watchin IMAX 3D DVDs on my PC ? They won't work well ??

I wish that you can answer my questions and I'll be very thankfull, and if you just show me links of everything I need to get to have 3D on my PC and pictures for them I am thankful.

Thanks in Advance!

1)any shutter glasses for pc will work
2)ed activator is free on ed support site
3)the dongle comes with ed glasses and most others
4)ed has just put out one for lcd/tft I think your better of with a crt.
5)You will get mixed results with your ATI card verry few games will work.Imax movies ok on ATI
You will probably have to set your monitor to 60hz to avoid "out of frequency range error" with your ATI card. If you are serious about 3d gaming you will be buying an nvidia card. I had an ATI card when I first got my glasses and was verry dissapointed with them until I got an nvidia card.

Thanks veru very very much man for your all answers... I am now near to purchase from ED but only short questions :

1- in the ED website, they sell a 3DPlus DVD software they say that with this software you can run any DVD and turn it to 3D , is that true ? Did you or anyone here try this programm ?

2- I plan to buy a TFT Monitor soon and 19' or maybe 21' this is whz I ask about watching and playing on this monitor in 3D, I noticed that in ED thez saz that their glasses can watch 3D in any Monitor TFT, LCD or CRT (Excpt Laptop monitor), so now do I have to believe them and trust them on that ?

3- Since you tried games using the ED Glasses, do the Cut-Scenes turn to 3D too or only the In-games ? I mean sometimes or almost in the new games there are Movies during the game and cut-scenes, will they turn to 3D too ?

4- Which glasses is better and suggest me to buy ? The Wireless one or the wired ?
And about the ATI card, if I feel that playing has issues, I will buy nVidia card for sure.

This are my last questions ( I hope ) and after I see the answers as I wish I will purchase the ED gaming system for sure.

Thanks alot!

Thanks in Advance!

Thanks for your answer.

1- About Nr. 5 yes I mean warranty, do they give the buyer a warranty ? And if yes, how long ?

2- About 3Dplus software, then do you suggest me to get it ? But if it is not that good I'll pass it.

3- Do the already 3D IMAX DVDs work well like in IMAX Cinema ? Or are they having troubles to run all 3D DVDs well ?

Thanks for you help, because I am really waiting on your answrs to begin my purchase but want to be sure about everything before I make the purchase.

I don't know about the warranty I think it was 1 year.
I'm not familiar with imax cinema, I use stereoscopic player http://mitglied.lycos.de/stereo3d/?
a free download, it will even work with red and blue glasses and they have nvidia stereo driver support.
I really like my 3dplus software so I would have to say go for it.
I also like my imax movies there is alot of out of the screen effect.
when I had my ati card I watched the imax movies more then gaming but since I got my nvidia card I do much more gaming. there are verry few imax dvd's worth getting.
