Here are a few questions for the experts ;) of the board:
-X3d shutter glasses are based on the same hardware of edimensional ones?
-The two systems are compatible?
-In other words, is worth buying x3d cheaper glasses to use with drivers (nvidia for example) developed for edimensional?
Thanks!

Yes, I use three or four brands at the same time...old ASUS glasses, X3D glasses and eD glasses, all with the same dongle. Also, I think the ones that came with the 3D DVD box set I bought are the same as X3D or eD. As long as the glasses have a mini-stereo plug, they should work.
I have found the X3D glasses for as low as $20 USD at a local mall... not a great indicator of 3D business success trends, but I am just telling people you can sometimes find them cheap :-)

they aren't the same, the new edimensional glasses have a different dongle and lenses that support the LCD screens.

@Anonymous,
Did you try E-D with LCD screens to repeat what they say ? They said that their glasses works with ATI and all other Cards, but they lied , I bought from them because they said that and I'll return this expensive thing back because it doesn't work with ATI... And I think the same with LCD Monitors it is just a lie.

Edimensional is bullshit.. they don't develop anything, they just resell the same glasses you can get from www.x3dshop.com for 70% less!!!

I use it with ATI and LCD screen just fine. I use it for FS2004, IL-2 and LOMAC and it works great. The old model didn't work on my LCD screen.

It is good news then that ED glasses works fine with LCD Monitor, but almost games that I have didn't work with the 3D glasses.
Can you write which other games ar working with the glasses beside the games that you wrote ?
Does Far Cry work or not ? Sure I mean with ATI Card.

I just decided to dust off my old x3d Technologies 3dworld shutter glasses (base is a flat/fat pyramid(f/fP) with "3DWORLD" printed at the narrow end.
connections:
1/8 stereo jack--vgaFemale--looksLikeSvideo on the f/fP side-----vga male pigtale at the other end)

I hooked them in line with my crt replacement , a new DCL 19" LCD monitor....

Results:
no peekshureee seeenhorrr...none at all...monitor said "No video".....
Do you need to install the 3-d driver from NVidia first?

Lemme Know

Chas
