Are there any programs such as Geiss or Milkdrop which work with shutter glasses? RabidHamster's R4 has some scenes that look AMAZING in 3D but the program crashes after a while.

"Monkey" and "cubes" plugin for winamp are really good! With some appropriate music with it, you can get kindda "hypnotised" with the monkey plugin (it's a cave ride).
