Hi at all,

I wrote a small wrapper for the stereo DLL
under XP, it recall the nvidia stereo config dialog, unfortunately the first
screen dont save the settings but other config are ok.

It works very fine with my XP Pro / Det 40.72 / Stereo 30.87.

It's only a good starting point, I acclude the (supersimple) source for everything interested to finish them

exe + source (20K) here:
http://digilander.libero.it/giofx/engines/StereoCtrl.zip

bye

Men, ... is working?

I have no problem, yes the first dialog is "unsupported" (but they are simplest settings thru regedit...).

By the way I have tested also 41.03 and currently I'm using 41.09 without problems.
(but NO official support again ... sigh)

let me know

I got Asus 8420 and was having the problem in WinXP using det.40.72 and Stereo 30.87. I tried GioFX's great utility and it works for me too, just after I set the stereo to always on by setting the followings in registry:

StereoViewerType=0
StereoEnable=1
StereoDefaultOn=1

Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D

My glasses working again, but I'm not sure why. Perhaps is because of Det 40.72. It's on all the time, but the frequency isn't sync with the screen, where in 3D screen I see a line rolling downward very slowly, and the left/right orientation is different between the two sections of the screen divided by the rolling line. adjusted the screen refresh rate doesn't help.

If you have Asus 84xx cards you may try the reg. hack above.

Install the stereo driver first if you didn't.

Yes I have allready installed NVIDIA 30.87 Stereo , I also have tried downloading the file again but it still will not install. It must be either 2000 pro or NV 41.09 is not compatible.

thank you for your suggestion ,

Rob

I think the problem is that, in Win XP, the windows folder is "Windows" in Win 200, the windows folder is "Winnt".
The "program" tries to search a dll in c:\windows\system32.. so it gives an error on Win 2000...
My C++ coding skills are a little rusty, so i dont know how to re-compile the program with that little change.
Anyone?

Hi, currently I'm using 41.09 without problems, (under XP).
Anyway I posted another version for 2k owner using "C:\WINNT"
(same http://digilander.libero.it/giofx/engines/StereoCtrl.zip ), it search the stereo dll both in \windows and \winnt.

bye
