Just want to warn everybody about vrealities.com. I ordered products, prepaid them and NEVER received the package...

After claiming my order they got very unfriendly (of course, they already had my money) and could NOT tell me where my package was.

Does anybody know about similar situations ? Does this company really ship products ?

Thanks.

Christian

Christian without a real e-mail behind your post you are just another Anonymous without a face. I say until we can get this board moderated don't believe anything any Anonymous has to say (including Christian). More crap and spam on an already crapped and spammed out board! :)

Sorry "Christian", but you might have your company names mixed up. My experience with Virtual Realities had been great. And even if you would by chance have a problem, they make it VERY easy to get a hold of them. If you don't want to e-mail simply call. Besides, they have great relationships with the companies that produce the products they sell. I've been able to talk with Ross from Io Display, and a representative with NaturalPoint (makers to TrackIR) because of the good relationship they have with Virtual Realities.

I used to see this kind of slander before I bought from Virtual Realities, and it made me hestant to purchase, but after making a major purchase from them, I can honestly say these type of posts are totally bogus. I highly recommend Virtual Realities.

Christian,

To follow up. We do not have ANY outstanding or delayed orders, and, we have NEVER had a customer named Christian Berger. You Sir, have the wrong company or are a angry competitor looking to discredit our company.

We agree with the Anonymous above, having this board moderated would fix a majority of the problems associated with posting here.

Regards,

Virtual Realities

Hello Everyone,

The above statements are lies and untrue and have been generated to make our company look bad.

We have NEVER had dealings with the people listed above. It is very sad to see this type of behavior on such an informative board.

We also do now know who is doing this and are now in the process of following through with the legal paperwork.

Regards,

Virtual Realities

VR should take legal action against this person as (s)he is clearly trying to damage VR's reputation with slanderous postings.

Christian,

What is your order number? We will be happy to post the tracking number of your order here for all to see. And why have you never contacted this company with any problems? This is to vailidate that you are a real customer in which we know you are not. This goes the same for Mike, Steven and whoever else you say you are.

G'day everyone,
Here's my $0.02 worth of humour for this latest *informative* thread!...

First I'd like to say one word: FACTS
Common sense suggest to never believe an unsubstantiated claim without any facts or figures or dates in it.
It is plain to see the lack of FACTS in certain (slanderous) posts on this webboard.
It is also plain to see plenty of FACTS in real informative and "help-me" posts on this webboard.

=====
>Just want to warn everybody about vrealities.com.
>I ordered products, prepaid them and NEVER
>received the package...
I did! :-)
I have and continue to enjoy doing business with Virtual Realities Inc. (who happen to own the domain vrealities.com and sell thier products online under that domain).
[Try "whois vrealities.com" at your nearest Unix command line.]

=====
>After claiming my order they got very unfriendly
>(of course, they already had my money) and could
>NOT tell me where my package was.
*LOL*? Why no mention of a 'tracking number' here?
...oh, but wait if this was a *real* report of corporate misconduct - and an infrigement of such laws as found in Australia's Trade Practices Act - you would have been able to say when you ordered, with what payment method, how much it cost, what product(s) you ordered, what the 'shipping' method was to be... [and who your Lawyer is!]... *etc* !!!

[I can report = verify all this information and more about my order, *grin*.]

=====
>Does anybody know about similar situations?
Yes, such fraudulent companies get reported to "the appropriate authorities"... and get shutdown ASAP because it is normally *illegal* yes? :-)
Verify yourself that Virtual Realities Inc. has been in business successfully since at *least* 07-Jul-1999:
Again, "whois vrealities.com" will tell you their domain record was created on that date and if you can't trust VeriSign perhaps check with "Southwestern Bell Internet Services" on "877-494-7261" who are (probably) Virtual Realities Inc.'s website host and/or ISP.

=====
>Does this company really ship products ?
No, ofcourse they don't *ship* products... *grin*... their not a shipping company!
UPS did however pickup the I-Glasses I had payed for from Virtual Realities Inc place of business in Texas and they delivered the package to my door here in Perth, Western Australia.
That's a long way to go in less than a week for less than $100 AUD.

=====
>Thanks.
>Christian
Yes, thank *you* for giving us a thread on this message board for everyone to see the *VERIFIABLE* good service from Virtual Realities Inc!
[And for a good laugh! *LOL*]

=====
Lastly, I reckon Armand is good bloke (eg: always called me at a reasonable time despite the 12hr time difference) and I recommend anyone ask him to give *you* a call and AFAIK he would if you're serious about (potentially) doing business with him. (His Texas/American accent's really cool too!)

Cheers,
--Syb.

P.S. Please excuse the sardonic humour, I'm way to sleep deprived at the moment.

P.P.S. "Review" of my I-Glasses forthcomming _after_ exams! :-)
And I'll be hosting it with my own resources... possibly along with a moderated message board?

Believe what you want, I had a horrible experience with the one man shop. Very rude and didn't offer any return policy after having issues with product. VR needs to re-evaluate its existance as a company!

Darren the best thing to do it go straight to the manufacturer and make a formal complaint. If that does not pan out and/or contact the business bureau.
