I have a Revelator and I want to buy a
ATI Radeon 8500.
Can I run the Revelator without buying
VRCaddy (or other software)?

PS: I have WinXP.

You are just fishing for trouble. You'll need VRCaddy and if you're lucky it'll work, but currently not for the latest DX8 games and not for OpenGL.

Better go for a nVidia based board.
