I just got the EyeForce package from www.vr21.com.au here in Australia. From what he told me, it's the same as a H3D Terminator.

Anyway, I called him up and he said that some vid cards don't support interlace mode.
Is the GeForce one of these?

It seems a bit funny to me cause I got the Sports Illustrated CD in the package, and I can't watch it. :(

I never thought that my GeForce would be lacking in such a simple feature...

Anyway, is there any way that I can get interlace mode to work so I can see the bOObies :O

Hi,

I think the guy misunderstand something. H3D Terminator does not require a special(old) VGA card which supports interlaced mode. It works with any VGA cards.
It's dongle(or controller) has line blanker function.(like VRJoy) It's activated by "color-code". When you run the "Sports.." CD, it sends the code to dongle and your screen mode changes to interlaced(like) mode.(and the glasses start flickering) If your glasses does not work, there might be something wrong with your hardware.

Also, there is a small utility which activates H3D glasses. You can test your hardware with it. You can find it at http://www.i-glasses.com/Store/3dpcinternet.php3

It's called H3D.exe

Well, I got it to work!

I had tried the activator from the i-O (i-glasses) web site, but it would not work.

I was then reading some of the articles here when I saw mention of another activator on the FTP.

ftp://stereo3d.com/pub/

I went exploring... and found:

H3DActivator130.zip (H3D Activator v1.3)
and
h3dactivator14.exe (H3D Activator v1.4)

both by Mohamad Ghazaly Abdul Rahman.

I nearly did not bother getting v1.4, but I'm glad I did 'cause it's got a taskbar icon for quick access just like the i-O activator.

So, for anyone having problems I suggest trying these.

I have tried the i-O activator again to see if it might have 'started' working, but it has not.
I find it quite odd that a utility publised by the manufacturer does not work, but a free one does. Or, maybe not... (odd) :O

I would also like to mention a great image viewer/editor I found over on the Stereovision site, called H3DView (1.5MB) that was made by Brightland (www.brightland.com). It is at v1.0 but they say on their web site that they will publish a v2.0 with more features if there are enough registrations, which is US$20. They also have some other Stereoscopy products if you are interested in that sort of thing... :)

geeez i'm pimping, better stop now.

c'ya, I gotta go check out dem 3D bOOies :)

I have a EyeForce package from vr21 too, which is the same as the H3D Terminator universal. I had no problems witht he CDS nor getting page flipping or interlace on in windows, but I only seem to get Sync doubling in games (wicked3d drivers), I have a GeForce 2. Can the H3D activator help me with page flipping in games? Or can I use some other drivers other than wicked3d to get a better result?

Hi Brian,

If you want to get page flipping to work you will have to install the ELSA Generic Revelator drivers for Nvidia cards.
You then need to install the ELSA Stereo3D screenshot viewer to enable the control panel in 'Display Properties'.

To install the screenshot viewer you need to:
1) Extract the .zip file to a folder.
2) Make sure that the folder is not below a directory with long filenames or it may give you an error messgae when you try to install it.
Just extract it to a folder like 'C:\Install' and you should not have any problems :)
3) Go to that folder and right click on the 'ELSAREVL.INF' and choose install.

Here are some good articles over on Stereovision.net that explain in more detail how to get it to work should you have any problems.

It probably wouldn't hurt to read through them first though, just so you are familliar with the procedure.

Also note that when you are installing the ELSA Driver it asks you 2 times if you want to save your configurations.
Just answer yes to both of these prompts and you will then be able to use the ELSA icon in the tasktray to swith back and forth between your original drivers and the ELSA ones (requires a reboot though).

Hope this helps, also keep an eye out for the upcoming Nvidia drivers with included Stereoscopic support. I think it is safe to say that you will find news of them either here or at Stereovision before anywhere else :)

cheers, Al
