I am new to 3d movies and Im trying to find a way to play mkv 3d movies off my laptop on my 3d tv.

I have already downloaded a bunch of side by side mkv 3d movies.

I have a Panasonic 3d plasma tv and a Sony 3d bluray player.

I puchased Harry Potter 3d on bluray. When I play it using my dvd player the image is perfect. Its clear, the color is right on, and it doesnt hurt my eyes.

I connect my laptop to my tv via HDMI. When I play any downloaded mkv file using the 3dtv program the image has ghosts in it and the colors are off. The image is also painful to watch. Something just isnt right about it.

I put the image full screen and I select the side by side option on my tv.

Is there a better way to watch mkv 3d files? What am I doing wrong?
