How do you set up the following for red/cyan 3D viewing?

mkv, source view

mp4, source view

this one does not even want come up as one image with any option

Every settings combination leads to nowhere, is something broken with the player or does it not support what I'm asking for? Which would be odd since YouTube gets it right for free.

You did not mention which player you use.

Anyways - both - MKV and MP4 are rather generally badly supported encapsulation formats.

I would generally recommend to rather pick AVI as encapsulation format when creating these as it has the best compatibility with all known players.

A recommendation for a free player i can give is "StereoMovie Player".
