Version of gfx and stereo driver?
Have you tried the stereo test application?
Have you tried the stereo on/off hotkey?

This is usually a sign of some install miss-step.
The driver is missing some component and cannot switch into stereo because of this. Please try a complete uninstall of both Stereo and regular driver, then re-install of latest.

StereoGamer:
It looks like you have probably some connections to nVidia. The problem describad above is so common, that I am sure it is worth to improve the instalation procedure to avoid this.
Or at least to add some diagnostic message telling what to do.
About 50% of my attemps to instal nVidis stereo drivers ended in similar situation. Sometimes it was suffcient to reinstal drivers. Sometimes it was neccesary in adition to regular uninstal to use Deteonator Destryer or something like this. When nothing helps - celen OS resintstal is the solution ...
I can live with such problems - but I am afraid common users will simply tell - the stereo deos not work and give up.
