I have stereo working in this game. The problem is that I have large translucent rectangles on the ground that move as i change views. The rectangles are only displayed on the right eye. Any ideas?

Damn, I ran into this same problem with NFS-HP2.
In the performance and quality settings of the Nvidia settings window you have to select performance, not quality.

BTW IL2-FB rocks in stereo although the lone trees have no stereo effect so it's a little weird when your down way low.

I've had IL2-FB working in stereo with the exception of the cockpit view. It appears that only the right side view is displayed.

Anyone have any suggestions?

You have to use OpenGL. Max resolution is 1024x768. Turn off texture compression in the IL2 setup utility.

Thanks John...

I had the OGL and the resolution covered, but not the texture compression, so I'll try that when I get home.

Thanks again!

Hi,

Someone is really playing IL2:FB with AEP in 3D??

I am fighting with it since AEP was released without success. If I use not-Perfect settings I get black areas on the ground. If I use Perfect settings, cockpit from external view do flashes, and trees are out of position (curiosity: In Perfect mode for FB version between 1 and 2, this last excluded, the trees are rendered fine...).

Please, some solution?

Tx!

I am trying got it working sometimes sometimes not but got those blocks in the ground as you mentioned.

I tried disable compression but then something else got messed up I hate those hotkeys that always interfer with in game keys and then I don´t know what to alter either.

I have always compression None. However I have tested the other options without success.

What set of drivers are you using?

Nope can´t get IL 2 to work properly. Turning of vertex arrays and just about everything didn´t help. The actual planes are perfectly rendered though.

Hi there,

I had the same problem with Il2+FB+AEP+PF. Dark block flickering all around, trees out of place, etc. I've tried everything and was after it two days till finally got it solved. Here is what I've done:

1) Downloaded 45.23 Detonator and 45.23 stereo (I was on 61.77. But tried 61.76 as suggested by e-dimensional support without any luck)

2) Uninstalled all Nvidia drivers (including NV2 Chipset).

3) Did a search under C:\Windows for nv*.* files and deleted them all (no removing tool was working and won't format my system because of a game).

4) Installed NV2 Drivers and Reboot. Installed 45.23 Video Drivers and reboot. Installed 45.23 stereo drivers and reboot.

5) In the IL2 Settings I changed to OpenGL in the "Drivers" tab, and on the "Video" tab I choose "custom" for graphics, and unchecked the "Use Vertex Arrays" checkbox (the second of the three items NOT on the extensions area).

6) Started the game and Stereo ran smooth and without any glitches. It's simply fantastic now. It's like being inside a cockpit for real (I use TrackIR3 too :)).

Now I have only one issue left, an that's Refresh Rate. No matter what It wouldn't use the stereo settings but will go 60hz (massive flickering getting my eyes very tired). So whenm I figure out how to set that I'll be perfect. Anyone know what to do to increase FPS?

Thanks in Advance.
