Hi,
Here is a the response I had from ATI's technical support regarding when I asked about support for 3D glasses with Radeon 8500.
-----
Dear Mr Insanerob ( was my surname )

Thank you for your mail.

There are no plans to have support for 3D glasses with ATI products.

Yours sincerely,

Is there or will there be any support for 3D glasses with this card? I love
the quality of this card but i have 3D glasses using the Stereo 3D drivers
that Nvidia supply as part of their detonator drivers and I need support for
them.

Regards,

Rob
-----

Needless to say I bought another Nvidia card.

Hi there,

I don't know where this tech is getting his info from but 3-Qubed is dealing with the Canadian HQ of ATI. We sent them a pair of Eye3D Premium's last Friday, they are very interested in stereo 3d since they have cards that are stereo 3d enabled, high end of course. The concentration will be on the radeon series, we are just starting to get things rolling.

Once I hear anyhting new I will post the info on this site. Also it might be a good idea to keep contacting ATI's tech support requesting stereo3d game drivers, every little bit will help.

So hang in there

Chris

They are probably only interested in them for the FireGL cards, that was the indication I got when I emailed them about it.

Notice the restraint in my not mentioning my feelings about companies selling products with extreme compatibility issues. :)
