How can I record a 3d (interlaced) movie to DVD without adding ghosting? I made a 3d Stereo movie with 3ds Max (.AVI). Now I'm trying to search a way to convert the AVI to MPEG2 suitable for DVD recording. Every time i tried to encode to mpeg2 (using TMPEGnc) my ghosting increases a lot!
Is there a way (with software) to convert AVI to MPEG2 without loosing quality?

I Also have a multiplexer that i can connect between the dvd player and the projector, so i can also create the side-by-side movie, but i don't know how. Can anyone help me?

Nelson: You are doing something wrong during the
video procesing. You probably change video resolution/framerate = deinterlacing.
maybe you have wrong mepg2 seeting (progresive
mode versus non-progresive).
I had no problems to prepare stereoscopic DVD
in interlaced format from inside Adobe Premiere
(DVMPEG mpeg2 compresor in non-progresive mode eused). No compession ghosting was visible ...
The nWave use the same compression method on its stereo IMAX DVD ..

I could use your help.
what is the resolution and framerate you use?
I'm new in the stereoscopic encoding, any help is welcome.

All you need is better software, look in their help files for info on deinterlacing/interlace.

One of my software editing programs has a setting for "interleave every ___ seconds". It is defaulted to 0.25 seconds....anyone know what the effect of increasing/decreasing this value or should I just leave it alone. I seem to have ghosting problems as well when encoding my own 3D movies, although it's still in 3D, so it's not catastrophic de-interlacing as can happen when you change your resolution, for instance.
