Do the Eye3d Premiums work (well) with the nvidia stereo driver?

I read somewhere a while back that they didn't work, and that the testers only had "limited success using the activator" or smthing like that. Could that have been an old version of the driver or is it just me being generally confused?

Oh, more more thing. I think my primary mode of use would be 1024*768 page flipping with old games. Does this mode work with the nvidia stereo driver?

Sorry, just wanna make perfectly sure =)

The Premium works with any driver from the past, present or future under any operating system on any gfx-board. It doesn't need the activator software, because it has buttons. (The same applies to the newer version of the Eye3D-4-in-1 and the AnotherEyes2000.)

You still do need a game-driver of course.

And yes the nVidia driver does 1024*768-PF and more.

>>> Game-driver? You mean vga driver?

It depends. Sometimes the stereo-functions or at least part of the stereo-functions are embedded into the VGA-driver. In other cases the stereo-game-driver comes seperately.

ASUS: embedded

ELSA: embedded, but you have to install the 3D-picture viewer in order to activate the stereo-sheet in the screen preferences

nVidia: partially embedded, but you have to install the seperate stereo-driver file

Wicked3D, VRCaddy: not embedded, these are wrappers which are installed in addition to a normal VGA-driver

Eye3D Premium works with every driver, but if you have no driver it won't work of course!

Most likely there will be a stereo-driver for XP from nVidia in the future.

So does anyone have any idea in what context i might have seen this "doesn't work" post regarding the Eye3D Premiums?

If I install the Eye3d 3.5 Drivers onto my nvidia 12.40/12.41 driver I have the problem that it corrupts my w98se-installtion. When opening I get an error openeing C:\w98\system\desk.cpl.

When I install Eye3d 3.5 onto an w98-installation with a dedicated elsa driver (elsa gladiac mx) I can open the properties. However I don't get the I-Art stereo options displayed in the Monitor/grafikcard properties. Instead only those from the nvidia but additionally the 3d-Activator tab.

I'm using Windows98SE, Elsa Gladiac MX (Nvidia Geforce Chip MX), Intel Celeron900, DirectX8a.

If you own a nVidia based VGA-card don't use the Eye3D/Wicked3D drivers. Use the nVidia reference stereo drivers instead.
