I was thinking about waiting on the i-glasses svga to come out or i was going to go ahead and buy an infocus lp350 dlp projector. Which one would immerse me more into games do you think?

My 2 cents
To me the projector would offer an impressive big picture that could probably be used with any ntsc or other video source and be enjoyed by many people.

For individual subversiveness in a virtual world it helps to involve as many senses as possible and best simulate the real world. This is why I would choose a stereo vision and audio unit. They offer the ability to not only provide excellent 3d positional sound through their headphones, but also provide you with a view into a 3d world, and not just looking in one direction while your hand steers. With head tracking capabilities you get to interact with the virtual world as in the real world. You turn your head to look somewhere and that's what you see.

I saw a 3d movie at a theater once (Space Hunter) that had made a permanent impact on me in terms as what 3d could do. The movie wasn't all that good, but watching a 3d world open up before me blew me away.

It might help you if you could find a place to sample the choices you have to choose personally what you like before purchasing. For me it's 3d and good sound.

1 more cent.

Normally 3D wins every time. I have to say, though, that sitting in front of a projector playing Max Payne with a wireless keyboard/mouse was awesome. The detailed textures and realistic movement speed (unlike Quake) make it very involving. And of course the projector can also be used for home cinema.

If money is no object then the very best option must be 3D using twin projectors. Haven't the budget to try it myself though.
