I bought the Asus V7700 deluxe card and i'm hooked. It's so simple, no add-on kits, no hunting around for these kits and glasses. It's all in the box. And the driver software has pre-configured settings for some DirectX and OpenGL games like 3DMark2000(benchmark), Need For Speed Porsche (cool), Tomb Raider III/IV, Half-Life, Q3A, Heretic II and a couple more. If you want to check out visual stereo the cheap and easy way consider a Asus deluxe video card. | ||

I have an Asus delux as well and it is a pretty good package, but the normal drivers arent very good for stereoscopic 3d (nVidias stereo driver is better), and the nVidia reference drivers when used with it are less stable, buggy, and you lose video capture. If only Asus would adapt to using nVidias stereo drivers, and make them work with their glasses and it would be a clean package. Till then I am considering whether I should get something else. And in general what I am not liking is how a lot of Direct3D games completely suck in stereoscopic 3d. I would not be surprised if a lot of game companies just dont give a damn if their game functions in stereo3d or not... its depressing... |
