This week I've been at LINUX@WORK in Milan.
I was wondering if there's any stereo-3d application working in a LINUX enviroment.
If not, why?
I've been told last version of LINUX has a good HW OpenGL support using a lot of different graphic chipset (even when standard WIN drivers are very poor). Does anybody know out there if it's true?
Thanks.

It is not true. I have seen several test demonstrating that Linux OpenGl drivers do not have Win quality (for nVidia cards).
In adition they horribly crashes for non-trivial appliaction ...
There are e.g. no Linux drivers for profesional graphic cards (3D Labs, Wildcat) at all. Graphic card manufactures are not interested in this platform and Linux developerd do not have acces to graphic chipset documentation.
In adition none Linux OpenGL drivers have stereoscopic support. The solution for Linux
is above/below for sync. doubling or interlaced
and line blanking in current stage of Linux technology.
