I have an old virtual-io HMD that supports an interlaced alternate-line stereo-format. I need a cheap way to blend 2 NTSC video sources so I can view them through the glasses. I am trying to build a tele-presence robotic system and this is my missing link. I don't want a software solution, as this system must be small and durable. And I need to mix the signal before wireless transmission. I have found some equipment such as the Vrex VR-MUX1 that I think would do fine but costs $995. Does anyone know any home-built solutions or product in the $100 or less range that would fit my needs?
