Yeah, I tried to install it with IE 5.0 and my geforce 2 gts and it said my card was not compatible???? I hope the retail version is in better shape! Please post if you get it to work!!! | ||

To both Anonimous posters who had problems installing the Demo: Can you please tell what Windows you use, Windows version number, and graphics drivers version (were these drivers the reference ones, or from some OEM). Even better, if you send it directly to support@wicked3d.com | ||

Got it to work, had to disable my Wicked3D shutter glass driver first...It is fantastic!!! This made my weekend! | ||

Hi, that's me again, for some reason I did not get the system specs from you people who had a problem. I assume you found a workaround on your own. I am actually posting this to let you know that I found a possible reason why you may get "IE 4.0 required" message even if you have IE 4.0 already installed. On systems prior to Win98, when you install IE update, you also need to select (or simply don't unselect) "Integrated Shell" option. This should not apply to people with Win 98 or later. | ||

This really works well. Slava, is it possible to set the driver for other colour combinations? I've got a pair of ColorCode3D glasses in amber and deep blue, which I think are better than red/blue (or green) anaglyph glasses. I believe it would improve colour perception a lot, if I could use these glasses. Alex p.s.: I found out that Akumira uses red/cyan glasses, so my earlier post regarding this method is probably meaningless, as EyeScream Light supports this colour combination. | ||

Yes, it is possible to set the full version of eyeSCREAM light to other color combinations, but we did not enable these settings in the control panel. We will probably post an "advanced" version of eyeSCREAM light on our site at some moment in the future with a few extra settings available, including different color combinations. If you have full version and want to try other color combinations without waiting for the "advanced" eyeSCREAM, mail me to support@wicked3d.com (put attn:slava in the subject line). | ||

Possible solutions to problems: I installed EyeScream Light on my home PC yesterday. As my work PC (on which it worked flawlessly from the start) it has Windows2000. When starting the game, the first screens looked fine, but when I chose the settings (openGL etc...), and pressed "Run 4x4 evo demo", the screen turned black. There was some reading on the harddisk for a couple of minutes, but nothing happened. I'm not sure how I solved it. I downloaded and installed the EyeScream Light driver once again. I also installed the latest driver for my ASUS 6800 Deluxe, but what probably did the trick (or so I think) was installing a driver for my monitor (it used some default plug and play windows driver up til then). The reason I'm not sure is that I gave up on it and began fiddling with the shutterglasses instead. And when I dediced to give it one last try before going to bed, voila, it worked. A fact that speaks against the monitor driver being the problem is however, that my work computer - which worked flawlessly from the beginning - doens't have a monitor driver installed (it just defines it as a "plug and play monitor"). Still, my home pc only started working after I installed the monitor driver. It still says (did it right from the start) that it found no compatible graphics card, but that doesn't seem to be a problem now. Alex | ||

I tried to install on Win95 but got the "no integrated shell" error. I really don't feel like hunting down IE's integrated install option (which is not available on MS IE explorer setup options online). How about just offering a traditional setup routine Wicked? Frustrated | ||

Hi All, I haven't been here for a while. I saw the Wicked3dlite when I was checking for updated drivers for my i-art 4in1. I downloaded the demo but due to the fact that I don't have any anaglaph glasses I was unable to make a comparison judgement. How do the two forms of stereographic rendering stack up against each other? My friends get a kick out of the stereo but are too cheap to come off the $100. Better yet where can I find some red\blue glasses and which side is which? John (I can't remember my password  ) | ||

To the Anonymous poster who has Win95: I have found some MS tech support notes about this issue and did run some tests on my own. Apparently it only happens if you have the original (so called "gold") version of Win95, released in August, 1995, AND you are updating it straight to IE 5. The workaround is as follows: 1. Start installing IE 5, but select "Install Minimal, or customize" option. Select Advanced on the next page and select "Download only". Download IE. 2. Click "Start->Run..." and browse to the directory with downloaded IE, select "ie5setup.exe", and add parameters to the command string so that it looks like that: IE5Setup.exe /C:"ie5wzd /e:IE4Shell_WIN /I:Y" ("IE4Shell_WIN" should be IE4Shell_NTx86 for WinNT (just in case someone has NT)). 3. Run IE setup now. BTW, this will make your windows look like Win98 and will add active desktop (which you can disable later). Again, this is something that happens only on original Win95. The next Win95 update (Win95 OSR2) is OK without this update. I hope this helps (at least it worked on my system). Good luck ;-) |
