What are some of the better Video Only (sorry no steroscopic 3d needed :-) personal displays available? Olympus, Canon, i-Glasses? Light weight, portable, good image quality would be cool. Please let me know opinons?

Thanks for the link! I was looking for a more personal opinion or one that focuses specifically on the need to be:

Lightweight,
Portable,
Battery Pack w/charger,
Good connections ie. rc s-video,
Good image quality ie. for DVD playback?

Any input would be awesome!

For what you describe, Glasstron, all the way! ^_^

Nobody does it better than sony in terms of price & image quality. You can only do better if you build it yourself, However, the guys involved in wearable PC homebrew would probably have some good ideas in this area.

So does everyone agree that the Glasstrons are the best video, portable w/battery pack/charger, and display. Better than Olympus and I-glasses? Which model of Glasstron are you referring to? Again mainly for DVD movies?

Thanks!

There are low res versions of the glasstron, which are comparable to the standard i-glasses and the EyeTrek 200.

The hi-res (1.55 MPixel) glasstrons are said to be excellent in image quality, but they're in a much higher price-category. There is one hi-res model still available, the 'PLM-700', it's monoscopic, has VGA and video input.

Well the glasstrons have a stated FOV of 30 deg, and the eyetreks 35 deg. The eyetreks SEEM better quality image wise from various reviews i've read (speaking of comparable models betwen mfgs here) but who knows who's in league with who.. Wouldn't it be nice to just put a pair on before buying. Not even the mfgs themselves can tell me who locally has their products and i've spent a few hours on the phone/web looking..

But if the glasstrons do in fact have better image quality, i'd love to know about it. The FOV is important i think too. Stereo capability would be nice, the cheaper eyetreks won't supply stereo, not sure on the glasstrons. Same with PC video ins (NTSC only without scan converter).
