OK, I have perused many sites and I am still confused. I am looking to get either the ASUSv7700Deluxe or the Elsa Gladiac. I want to keep my budget low for now (under $300 total) I can't seem to find a compatability chart anywhere! What I want to know is... 1) what drivers/3D standards does each card support (example, Wicked3D is only supported by Elsa, etc.) 2) What are the differences/pros/cons to these drivers/standards? (compatability, performance, speed, refresh rates, realism, comfort, etc.) 3) Which glasses support which cards/standards 4) Performance evaluation of the cards. I see lots of review of glasses that say "They support H3d" but it says nothing of Wicked3D or vice-versa, and the 'reviews' are generally "this is what these do" and are not performance reviews. You can throw lots of technical specs at me, but in the end I wanna know which card it will work on, with which drivers, which driver is the best for those glasses/card combos, and how good it looks/performs (as well as comfort & eye strain). Does such a chart exist? There is nothing like this in the FAQ or anything that I have seen. Thanks a lot! Alex F |

OK, so I found some more information. Please correct me if I am wrong. It *seems* that The ASUS is a little more compatible w/ the glasses out there (but does not support H3D). So, I am thinking that I will get the ASUS 7700 Deluxe and if I don't like the glasses I can get either the VRJoy, the AnotherEYE 2000, or the EYEFx. So what are the performance/compatability gotchas for these glasses and the ASUS boards? IOW, which is the best to buy for optimun performance and features? I think only one can switch (at teh push of a button) between stereoscopic vision and std. 2D, correct? Also, someone please explain the wrappers. I know what a wrapper is, but do the ones out there allow for running Wicked3D on an ASUS card? Thanks again! Alex F |

Look at Stereovision.net for some more info. Stereo driver quality: 1.Elsa 2.Asus 3.Wicked3D The Asus deluxe is the best choice for a new graphics card, since you get the Asus driver and the Elsa driver works perfectly too and you don't want to use the wicked3d after using elsa and asus... The nv20 will be out in a few weeks, expect major price slashing in less than a month |

THanks for the info. I will watch for the nv20 and the subsequent price slashing since I don't need this card immediately (I can wait maybe a month). Thanks, Alex F |

I'm hoping, when the NV20 does come out, Asus will get a deluxe version available soon after. |
