Does anyone know of a software or driven solution that obviates the need to spend $10k on a de-multiplexer box if you want to convert an active (120hz) frame sequential stereo signal to a passive stereo signal(left-eye to 1 screen and right eye to 2nd screen). Build a stereoscope with 2 screens and most of the software I plan to use on it only supports frame sequential for shutter glasses-based systems!

PC/Windows - yep I know about nvidia's quadbuffered stereo and clone mode as a solution. Should have mentioned we are in the world of PC/Linux however! Also deal in SGI and Sun which is a whole new bag of tricks! Software is not the issue and we have to deal with too many different markets and applications to list. Given the about of de-multiplexer we spec I thought it would be worth a post to a)save our end users some money and b) see if a more elegant solution wasn't available.

So, more details:

PC/Windows - no prob.
PC/Linux - x86config needs changing, but how?
Sun/Solaris or Linux/xvr1200 card - any ideas?
SGI/V12.....mmmmmmmmm?
