So just studied a lot of barrier displays. Got a strange feeling, what are we doing now? We are inventing CRT:s shadow mask again... but on the outerside of monitor.

Has anybody checked out which kind of aperture grille is inside Trinitron tube? Is it possible to take it of and use it as a barrier? There's plenty of old 20" SUN monitors available at no cost at all...

You are not going to get good results.

1) Very difficult to the left and right images at their respected dots.

2) Even if you can do 1) above, you are going to have problems with the color as CRT arrange the RGB horizontally.
