exactly what makes a projector work with 3d content (games/movies), with shutters?
From what I've read here some LCD/DLP works and some don't but why? Does this have to do with the internal...hmm whatever it is, that is working with 50hz.
Is it possible to know if the projector is working with shutters just from reading the specs or do I have to take a laptop and go around testing different projectors?

'fraid so.

The X1a seems to work well and is limited to 800*600. The Dell 3300 works as well according to posts.

LCDs reponse time is too slow for games using shutter glasses so its DLPs only.

I'm going to get the emagin visor as although limited to 800*600 it has headtracking...

No you can't find out by reading the specs.

DLP:

Fast buffer - short delay between input signal and output on screen, the more delay the more ghosting.

Stable buffer time - output must stay in sync with input, at least the time-gap must be stable.

LCD:

Less likely to work than DLP, but it's worth a try. It works with some LCD's, at least if you have a glasses-controller with time-gap compensation, like the Sensio3D.

Thanks guys.
I guess I'll have to find a laptop with a Nvidia graphic card. If, or rather WHEN I do, I might be able to make some contribution to this board.
