Hi there, Well I bought a 6800GT 256mb vid card. I was able to sell my 9800pro plus some other 'puter stuff to get the needed cash. The card should be here from Newegg mid next week. I noticed somewhere that you said you were doing 1024x768 in stereo on your X1. I was never able to do better than 800x600 when I had the ti4400 card. What exactly are your PJ and vid card settings? I wanna see what this puppy will do.
John
PS. I'm all set for the Emagin HMD now :)

Reports are that the X1a and X2 are both better at stereo and that the Dell 3300 works out of the box at native 1024.

The X1 gives acceptable stereo at 800*600. Some reports of blue ghosting at the res including my self. This could of course be down to me not using the refresh rate force tool to get over ther 60hz limitations in XP.

In any event set the projector to native so there is no screen resizing to 800*600. Set the stereo to 70Hz at 1024 by 768, and activate by hot key...

There should be no ghosting at all - but the image will only be the top left 800 * 600 pixels.

Save settings and exit stereo properties

We now need to centre the screen at 1024*768.

With the projector in Native mode set the desktop to 1024*768 and then use the Nvidia screen positioning tools to pull the picture right and down to their max - this will centre the screen when stereo at 1024*769 is activated.

Save the screen settings for this resolution.

Reset the screen resolution to 800*600.

Luanch a game (Painkiller is particularly good). Set it to 800* 600. (it may auto detect at launch and go straight to 1024*768 - in which case turn off native mode on the projector - this will let the projector squish the menu screens so that you can access all the games set up menus).

Set it to 800*600. (Set the projector back to native).

Play the game and activate the stereo. It should flip into 1024*768 centred and have fun

Wow, That must have taken some time to figure out. Thanks! I have to build a computer for a customer right now but I'll try to check it out tomorrow.
