I work with lasers in a government-funded lab.I am seeking a VR display helmet with two TV cameras with adjustable convergence, so that I can look down and see small objects in 3D TV and make mechanical adjustments without exposing my eyes to hazardous light beams. Is such a device available commercially? If not, what is the best commercial source for high-res displays, allowing separate video inputs to the two displays? Cheap consumer VR glasses are not good enough.

..there are some really small devices from a company called 'triviso' with a integrated camera for augmented reality, but I can't tell if 800x600 pixels are sufficient to work with..
