damn!, and it will probaply take about 1000 years till it's at the right enduser price of ~90$!!!
It's not only that the most company are afraid to sell their miltary develoment as a enterainment product, it's also that customers don't undertstand the technical difference between their 2000$ 60" HDtv and such a "little, cheap looking device"... I will definitely take a lot more of devlopment till these headgears get good and cheap enough that a 0815 customer decides
to buy a hmd instead of/or aditionaly to his bigscreen HDtv ...

Actually there are relatively cheap 1080p microdisplays available that would allow a field of view like sunglasses... but unfortunately some companys like kodak got idiots:

in their development;) and the upcomming x-eye is also still crap!

But lets see what the future brings... I would prefer, that a company - maybe developing artificially eyes for robots, full FOV-nightvision glasses or anthing - gets behind and brings a eyeglass that allows to see FOV like I can see through my skiglasses while
snowboarding;)) ..maybe in 10 years....
