Just been browsing some autostereo display manufacturers sites - they charging the earth for what seems to me pretty simple technology e.g. an LCD monitor with a lenticular lense and screen 'slicing' drivers.

Just wondered whether anyone had attempted to make an autostereo display. The highest quality very cheap lenticular sheeting I could find on the web with a quick browse was 110 strip per inch.......just wondered :o)

hi Scotty,
There is a taiwan company iart (http://www.iart3d.com) that produces just what you need.
But people such as Stereographics etc charge a lot more, due to the fact that
1) This technology is not *yet* mainstream so they have the charge bigtime headstart
2) they do use hi-quality precision engineered lents.
3) The monitors are also hi-end with good dot pitches
4) their knowhow such as rotation of lenticular lens to remove moire-effect (visual disturbance patters) and special software etc.

Still if I-art can sell .. you can do a DIY too!
Check the yahoo 3d boards for John Billinghams autostereo kit for laptops.
Cheers
Clyde
