Vrex, use to have a single projector for field sequential 3d......i saw one and it was very good, you wore passive paper polarized glasses to get the very good 3d effect......it was about $10,000......i don't know if they still sell them? | ||

Two would actually be best. All told it would cost about $3500. 2 BenQ 7200 1024x768 DLP projectors $3100 2 2.5" Polorized lens' $40 1 homemade silverscreen $60 1 Pair polorized glasses $15 1 Dual head Nvidia based video card $300 You can save about $1300 by going with 800x600 projectors. Assuming you have a good vid card a passive projector setup can cost as little as $2000 John | ||

Personally I find that good alterate eye (i.e. active) projection systems are far more immersive than polarized ones. The hot-spot and the ghosting of polarized systems are just too distracting for me, whereas the flicker from the alternate eye is not an issue after about 20 seconds of viewing. Also, you can move around much more with alternate-eye systems. The problem is that good alternate-eye projection systems are very expensive. | ||
