I want to create a simple starfield code with OpenGL. This starfield should be displayed at the HMD (dual DVI). Unfortunately I have no idea how to make this starfield 3D. Do I need seperate pictures for each eye?

Can you give me an outline of producing OpenGL applications for HMDs?

Thanks.

1. find good book about programing for Opengl.
2. Program the starfield (preety easy).
3. Run your aplication on Nvidia&HMD.
4. Nvidia driver wil make the rest.

Why OPengl, bot Directx?

5. It will not work becouse latest nVidia wrapers have trouble with OpenGL wrapping
6. You will have zero control about stereoscopic scene geometry

If you want to make a realy good stereoscopic program for HMD forget 1...6 and study standard OpenGl methods for stereoscopic support.
