I´m looking for a way to record and to project 3d high definition stereoscopic video. I have two videbeamers with polarisation setup and bought the NuView Adapter.
Is it possible to put the Nuviewadapter on the JVC JY-HD10U camera and run the 1080/60i mode ( is the lens too big for the nuwview mount?). I´m afraid the 3d fieldsequential signal could be destroyed in this new jvc recording system.
If it works,
is there any device known that can split the HD field sequential signal from the camera into two VGA high def signals for my beamers ? from ilink into two vga or xvga streams ?
I don´t want t spend my money for HD and endup with a composite solution in regular NTSC.
thanx for helping

Hi!

Stereoscopic Player is a software 3d videoplayer which is able to send left and right video to separate projectors. All you need is a graphic card with two VGA/DVI outputs and a resonably fast PC. http://mitglied.lycos.de/stereo3d

The JVC hidef camera supports 720p recording only. It will not work with NuView. 1080i upconversion is only available during playback.

You can not with NuView record in this camera at HDTV resolution. You can record only in 60p progresive resolution standard NTSC resolution (it can give you full NTSC per eye benefit in comparion to half resolution with normal camera).

But it will not work again from following resons:

1) The left and right progresicve frames differences from different eyes will be destryed by mpeg2 macroblock compression artefacts.
Mpeg2 does not compress in this case left and right eye separately.

2) The composite video is on the camera switched off for the HDTV mode. NuView will not have synchronization signal.

3) The camera input lenses are big. The NuView is supplied by corrsponding size reduction rig, bu the wigneting will be to hi.

Solution: Buy 2x JY-HD10U and find a way how to
synchronizely start them (+ synchronize zoom, exposure, e.t.c.) .
