Hi all
I have a set of edimensional 3d glasses.

I have just installed a GeForce FX 5200 128 meg pci card. The problem I have, is when I go to medical test image in stereo properties I get the error message

"nvidia stereo features not enabled. launch control panel. Select advanced.. and stereo Properties tab to view stereo setup information

I have made sure that the stereo enabled mode is set to enabled but ever time I go to medical test image I get the same error mesage.

In the stereo test application i get the error message
Stereo is not enabled enable stereo and restart test.

I have emailed Nathan at edimensional but he has no idear on what the problem is.
I am using the new nvidia diplay and stereo
drivers as well as directx 9
my system is celeron 667, 314 ram running windows me.
any help on resolving this problem would be grate.
I had a ge force mx200 pci card on my system and everthing worked fine (the card had to be replaced due to the fact it no longer works)
I have also tryed the old 45.23 drivers and still no luck

Cheers hsv

Sounds like some missmatch between video driver and stereo driver. I't try uninstall and re-install of matching drivers.

I using the current nvidia 56.64 display and stereo drivers. I have un-installed and re-installed the drivers but keep getting the same error message's.

Even tried the old 45.23 drivers I had when I had my old mx200 card but then I could not even get stereo to work

I had a similar problem. download the equal versions of graphics card drivers and stereo drivers.

nvidia Gforce Fx 5200 --> 56.72
stereo --> 56.72

I had the same problem too. I couldn't even go back to the 45.23 drivers and make them work even when using NFR while in safe mode. There is something the 56.64 and 56.72 drivers are doing to the registry in Win98/Me that hoses everything up.

Now I have 56.72 drivers on a WinXP Pro system and I get the same errors if I'm not in DualView mode. But even in DualView mode stereo doesn't work. I've been told the solution is to uninstall and reinstall using the windows "update driver" function rather than nvidia's setup program. This means you need to cancel the install program half-way right after the files are unpacked and then use windows to finish it using the directory the setup program stored the unpacked files in. I have yet to try this.

it comes from the two problems allready discussed:
1.the driver (stereo and video card) should be the exact same version (to do that just uninstall all your drivers restart and install again)
2.For the FX serie it's the new driver that doesn't work, use the old one 45.23 is fine (but you really have to uninstall everything first)

Antoine13 is correct, I even asked an nVidia tech about slight mismatches (e.g. 56.72 driver + 56.64 stereo) and he said NO!

I wad no problem with the 45.23 or 56.64 stereo, but I have not been successful getting 56.72 to go into stereo in any test app, 3-D picture viewer, or D3D/OpenGL game. Not sure where the problem is.

I believe there can be problems removing all traces of the NVidia drivers from your system.
There are freeware programmes that can do this, I cannot remember their names but a Google search should find them.

i have exactly the same nvidia driver and exactly the same stereo driver (61.76). And i have exactly the same problem. i allways get the message that the stereo is not enabled. It is the first install so i should not have "traces". It is a gf4 440mx under win2000

i have win2k with a ti4200 and it was giving me that error when i tried to preview the 3d (nvidia stereo not enabled). i tried the 76 drivers and it still didnt work. so here's what i did:

uninstalled both drivers
ran "driver cleaner 3" for both drivers
restarted
turned off antivirus software
installed 56.72 drivers (look on google for them)
restarted
and it worked! (both "enabled" and "enabled by hot key")

i'm not going to risk reinstalling the later drivers since they just caused me problems before.

good luck to anyone who is still having this problem!

PS: remember to install the main driver before the stereo driver. im not sure if it makes a difference, but thats what the websites said to do.

I too had an issue. I stopped the auto install of the drivers and then did a manual install of them to get things working.
