Looking for 800x600 or above, full color, can be LCOS OLED, doesn't matter. Anyone know of any company that sells development kits, or any exsiting products, such as video projectors or TVs that use these? Any help would be greatly appreciated | ||

For what it's worth, the following is a list I happened to have of companies than sell developer's kits for displays used in for HD projection TVs. They are all really high resolution microdisplays (SXGA and better) and the developer's kits all cost thousands of dollars: Chances are you can buy a projection TV and take it apart for less money than you'd pay for a developer's kit! Of course, if you want stereo, you'll have to buy two  Some of the sites tell who is using their displays in what products. There are other companies out there who sell lower resolution (VGA and SVGA) products that you can probably get for less money, but I don't have any info on them. PS: The LCOS and DLP displays are all reflective devices. You have to illuminate and look at them through a beamsplitter or off axis. They are also monchrome displays that do color by the field sequential method - you have to flash or scan them with red, green, and blue light in sequence. You can buy LED units that are designed to do this for head mounted displays. Microdisplay Corporation (LCOS)http://www.microdisplay.com/ May be ridiculously expensive. CRL Opto (LCOS) http://www.crlopto.com Less expensive, but still thousands of $$. Spatialight (LCOS) http://www.spatialight.com Still sell microdisplays, but I don't know if they still sell dev kits. Texas Isntruments (DLP micromirror display) http://www.dlp.com/ There should be a link to another company that sells the "Discovery" developer's kit for them. The following company sells OLED displays with lower resolution (852 X 3 X 600), that might be less pricey.
