I've had a DLP projector (X1)for a couple of weeks now. I just hooked up my Eye3D shutter glasses about an hour ago. I find that the only way it seems to sync up is in 800x600 with the refresh rate at 60Hz. That's fine 'cause it's actually very clear. When I have tried this refresh rate with my CRT monitor there was a very exaggerated stutter to the viewing. I do notice the blue ghosting that you described. Could you explain to me how you set your buffer out of sync? I have a Geforce4 4400ti vid card with the 45.23 stereo and detonator drivers. I also can't pick 123" as my monitor size. I remember reading somewhere that there is a value in the reg to change but I was unable to find it. Do you know how to do this? And one more, This projector is capable of doing 100Hz refresh rate but Microsoft's Plug and Play monitor will only do 75Hz so that's the highest that the stereo drivers will pick. Do you know the reg value for the refresh? I just want to try to see if it will work with stereo. BTW there's nothin' like sittin' 10ft awy from a 10ft screen (window I mean) is there? the decimal values are in increments of .5". open up your regedit, go to hkey_local_machine> software> nvidia corporation> stereo3d. (you can also find it by going to edit> find, and type in MonitorSize) in here you will see a value noted as monitor size. change the decimal value of this to your desired size. in your case you want 123" so we use the following simple equation: 123" divided by .5" equals to 246. we enter 246 as our new registry value in decimal mode. once youve done that, simply close regedit, changes are instantaneous. once you go back into your stereo panel, you will notice the monitor size has now changed to 123". hope this helps, good luck. -j. | ||

Hi there, Sorry for the late reply, i have been busy with exams etc. The buffer on my projector will automatically go out of synch when it is set to any resolution below 1280x1024. The lower the resolution, the faster the de-synchronisation. There have been occasions where by setting the timing formula to discreat will make the synch resolution 1600x1200, though this seldom works. There is no control actual controll of the actual synch signal. An easy way of making a control would be a temporary timing buffer somewhere in the emitter buffer, which we could control the lag. I will try to design a version of this box after my exams, using a microcontroller to give a greater degree of accuracy. --RAGEdemon |
