Hi!
I have some trouble activating the stereo support in the MAXtreme package. Running on W2K and Elsa Gloria2 with 3DSMAX3.1
I read the help file and the install file, but can't find the MAXtremestereo thing...

According to

http://www.stereographics.com/html/software.html

it seems only 3DSMAX 2 and 2.5 are supported.

From the readme:

ELSA MAXtreme, driver for 3D Studio MAX R3.x
and 3D Studio VIZ R3.x
Version: 2.04.05

Maxtreme is an Elsa special support thing for 3DSMax, with some extra stuff and stereoscopic support...

The same readme (v. 2.04.05) also says:

"Stereo viewing is possible on ELSA GLoria XL and ELSA GLoria XXL if the resolution and color depth are not too high..."

No word on the Gloria II.

This is consistent with the hint on the StereoGraphics page: "Requires ELSA MAXtreme and an ELSA GLoria XL or GLoria XXL graphics card."

You shuld have a look on:
http://www.elsa.com/international/europe/produkte/grafikkarten/gloria2.htm

It HAVE stereoscopic support for 3D MAX ...
It shuld even have standard OpenGL stereoscopic
support (probably as an first graphic card
based on NVIDIA chipset) ...

Thanx guys.
I narrowed it down, the stupid install program didn't install the stereo plugin, I unpacked it manually and copied to the correct folder and there it was.
But I can't enable stereo3D (options greyed out) and there is no standard OpenGL stereoscopic
support as I tried with other apps.
I guess I have to enable stereo support in the special Elsa apps property page, but it crashes out and I can't change anything.
(That's what you get for running cracked drivers from zoiah.m3dzone.com)
Maybe some registry tweaking will work...

There is no (opengl)stereo support for the elsa gloria 2,yet.
If you read carefully the gloria2 web page you will find this "stereo OpenGL pending" ever since the gloria2 was released .
http://www.elsa.com/international/europe/produkte/grafikkarten/gloria2.htm#technik
In the current issue of ct' magazine we are told
the gloria 2 will have stereo OpenGL early next year.
